DUE TO THE WEATHER THERE WILL BE NO CLASS TOMORROW.
WE WILL MEET NEXT TUESDAY 24 FEB 2015.
I’ve asked Brother Steve to pinch hit for me this TUE. How fitting for a baseball player!
Please come and enjoy the wisdom he will share.
Notes:
Your good name is your greatest treasure. It’s better than gold. Build and protect your good name.
Notes:
Don’t lie to yourself. Truth leads to freedom. Lies lead to bondage.
Notes:
God has a plan and a path for your life that is magnificent. His intention for you is great. He’s committed to giving you abundant life AND eternal life.
The devil does NOT want you on that path. His eternal death has been sealed. He wants company.
There are things that take you off the path and there are things that bring you back to the path.
This week we focus on staying or getting back on the path.

Encouraging Words – Merton’s Prayer
Hallerin Hilton Hill
The early morning is a wonderful time to log on with God and download what you need for the day.
Prayer is an essential. 55% of Americans pray EVERY day. 75% agree that prayer is important.
I have to get a good dose or I’m done. My cornerstone prayer is the Lord’s Prayer. It’s perfect.
Recently a friend turned me on to a prayer written by Thomas Merton. I’d like to share it with you this morning.
“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.”
Thomas Merton
Works for me! Hope it works for you.
Grow. Help others grow. Be encouraged.
Good Morning!
First a quick note. No class next week DEC 23 2014. We will be back in the groove on TUE DEC 31 2014. Next up, Proverbs chapter 20.
Now a quick note on discipline and defintion.
This morning I was looking in the mirror. Ummm, let’s just say I need some work.
A few years back I lost 75lbs, went from a 44 waist to a 32. Big results. I had muscular defintion. Now, not so much. The results were the result of DISCIPLINE, pure and simple.
Then God hit me with this:
When I lost my discipline I lost my definition.
I you’re world lack definition it likely lack discipline.
Make it an excellent day!
